IN THE KITCHEN
Grades: 3-8 (Grade entering fall 2025)
CLASS OVERVIEW: This class is a hands-on culinary journey through a variety of exciting cooking classes. In addition to general cooking techniques, students will be instructed on safe food handling, equipment safety, table etiquette, how to read recipes, and prepare and cook delicious and healthy dishes. All Jr. Chefs will take home a copy of the recipes which they create. Cooks are creative, understand math, science, and are generally well-read. Campers should be dressed comfortably but with safety in mind. Hair clips or bands for long hair should be worn. Instructor: Cindy Shaffer, Former GHS Family & Consumer Sciences Teacher
